Description

Lamayuru to Hemis trek is an overall moderate trek which starts from Wanla and ends at Hemis.  The route crossing high pass like Konkila, Dongdong chen la, and Kongmarula. This route is combined of Lamayuru-Chilling and Chilling-Hemis.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day 1. Lamayuru - Prinkti La 3729 mtr - Wanla 3146 mtr. 5 hrs

    On the first day of trek it will start with the climb of Prinkiti la pass 3729. It will take around 2 hours to get the top of Prinkiti la pass. From Prinkiti la it will take a narrow valley to   get Wanla . On wanla you will fine beautiful Camp site

  • Day 2: Wanla to Hinju 3791 mtr. 6 hrs

    Morning after breakfast you will start you trek, At starting the trek is easy by crossing the long village of Wanla. You will find all the field of Barley, Peas and the fruits like apple and apricot.  With the trek 3 hours you will arrive at the next village called Fanji. After Fanji you will turn left and start climbing after that you will climb slowly till Hinju. Overnight camp at Hinju. 

  • Day 3. Hinju - Kongskilla 4952 - Sumda Doksa 4422 mtr 6.5 hrs

    Trek Procced towards Sumda Chenmo via Konski La 4952 mtrs. Till Konskila all the way are ascend  From  Where you can have a view of back route from Pirkiti La. The  Valley across the Kanski La has a few huts of shepherds from  Hinju where they make butter and cheese... You will enjoy the life of Nomadic people. Overnight in Camp.

  • Day 4: Sumda Doksa to Base of Dung Dung Chan La 4428 mtr . 5.5 hrs

    The trail leads to Dundunchan la Base along with Sumda chu . Today you will find some beautiful landscape. It also possibleto some  Wild animal like Ibex, Snow leapord , Wolf and fox.  Arrive base of the pass after a good walk for 4-5 hrs. Overnight In Camp at Base camp Dundunchanla. 

  • Day 5: Base of Dung Dung Chan La to Chilling 3195 mtr via Dung Dung Chan La 4593 mtr. 6 hrs

    Trek starts with the climb of Dundunchanla. It will take almost 2 hours to arrive at Top. Have a fantastic view from Dundunchan La  and trail Leads to Chilling village where the Zangskar River follows towards Nimo village.  The chilling village is famous for metal works in  Ladakh. Initially the people of Chilling were brought to Ladakh  From Nepal Deldan Namgyal to built the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha at Shey. After completion of statue they rewarded with and at chilling and settled down here by king. Over night in  Camp 

  • Day 6: Chilling trek to Sku (3366 mtrs) 4-5 hrs.

     At the starting you will find a interesting and adventures to crossing Tully.  Here you need to cross Zangskar River with a cable car of Tully. And we have to change the horses too. Because the horses cannot cross the other side of River. The staffs will transfer all the luggage by tully.  And the trek starts with some up and downs. You will enjoy the landscape and scenery.  After noon you will Reach Sku via Kaya Overnight in Camp   

  • Day 7: Sku to Markha 3760 mtr. 6 hrs

    From Skiu, follow a good path on the right bank of Markha where one can find great vegetation. Then cross right bank of river and cross through barren plain and arrive at Chaluk. Thereafter walk along the left bank of river and after another crossing climb towards Markha village. Good camp site beyond the Village and near river. Overnight in camp..

  • Day 8: Markha to Hankar 4030 . 5 hrs

    Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach  Hankar village. Overnight in camp.

  • Day 9: Hankar to Nimaling 4841 mtr, 6 hrs

    After breakfast start trekking to reach Nimaling. Nimaling (4841 M) has a sweeping pasture where thousands of sheep, goats, yaks and graze during the summer months, rising to the south is 6400 M high Kang Yatse (Nimaling Peak), a lovely mountain, but not an easy one to climb, Overnight in tents.

  • Day 10: Nimaling to Shangsumdo 3680 mtr via Kongmarula 5260 mtrs 6.5 hrs

      After breakfast start trekking to reach Kongmaru La (5260 M). The trek to Kongmaru la passes through narrow Gorges. At the top of the pass, you can have view of the Ladakh range and the villages of the Indus valley to the north is excellent. Cross the pass and proceed to Shangsumdoo. 

  • Day 11: Shangsumdo to Hemis & Drive to Leh 5 hrs

    Continue your trek to Hemis it will take3 hours, You will visit Hemis and drive to Leh.
