Spituk to Matho Trek

Description

Spituk-Matho trekking route is one of the best and easy route along Leh. It is a part of Hemis National Park. This area is known as the capital of Snow Leopards and, even National Geographic made an award winning documentary in the Rumbak Valley on Snow Leopards. This is the perfect trek if you are looking for a shorter option, beautiful view, amazing rock formations, and you can experience the culture as well, as many villages and monasteries come along. 
 

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day 1. Drive Leh to Spituk & Trek to Zingchen 3402 mtrs , 4-5 hrs

    You will drive Leh to Spituk, FromSpituk you will start your trek and and continue to Zingchen. It will be a easy day trek. Overnight Camp 

  • Day 2. Zingchen to Rumbak 3956 mtr, 4.5 hrs

       After breakfast you  trek towards Rumbak.  It will not be a hard trek . With the arriving at Rumbak you will  stay at Camping. 

  • Day 3. Rumbak to Manikarmo 4380 mtr. via Stokla 4855 mts 6 hrs

    Again with early breakfast you will start your trek with  along with  your guide . It will be little hard before climb of Stokla pass, The routw are little steep, From the top ofStokla you can enjoy the beautiful view of mountain arounds. From Stok la it will be narrow valley to Manikarmo. Overnight Camp.   

  • Day 4. Manikarmo to Gadpoche 4428 via Mathola 4845 mtr. 6.5 hrs

    From Manikarmo you will start your trek , After an hour of trek you will start climb Mathola pass, From the top of Mathola you will fine beautiful view. 

  • Day 5. Gangpoche to Matho 3526 mtr & Drive to Leh. 5 hrs

    A easy day trek with almost all route decend , It will take around 4 hrs to reach Matho. From matho you will drive to Leh.
