Detailed Day-wise Itinerary

Our taxi will pick you up from Leh. After Leh, you will drive towards Lamayuru and stay overnight at Lamayuru.
You will visit Lamayuru monastery, which is a historic Buddhist monastery located in the Lamayuru village. Between Leh and Kargil, it is one of the oldest monasteries in the Ladakh region.

a) The Monastery features ancient architecture, with intricate carvings and painting.
b) Moonlike Landscape: The unique landscape of Lamayuru is often described as “Moonlike” with its rugged terrain and rocky formation.
c) The views of the sunrises and sunsets from Lamayuru are particularly breathtaking, with the sky turning pink and orange. From Leh to Lamayuru is around 125km, and the time taken is 3 to 4 hours by car.

After the wonderful breakfast, we will drive toward Kargil and the high-altitude passes.

1) Foto-La-Pass (4108m) You will find breathtaking views of surrounding mountains and a popular spot for photography and taking in the stunning scenery.
2) Namkila- pass (3700m) is another high-altitude pass with panoramic views of the mountain and valleys.
3) Mulbekh Monastery: A historic monastery perched on a hill, offering stunning views of the surrounding valley and a great spot to learn about the local culture and history. And travel will be continued toward Kargil and drop off at the hotel overnight stay at Kargil is take around 130 km from lamauru to kargil and time taken approximately 3-4 hours.

Drive toward Padum via Penzila pass. On the way from Kargil to Padum, especially around Drang Drung glacier, the views are breathtaking. The glacier itself is one of the largest in the region, with its long, widening ice flow visible from the road near the pensile pass.
In this area, you can often see Local people living in temporary settlements with their yaks. You can also visit the Rangdum monastery, which is one of the oldest monasteries in the Ladakh region, and drop off at the Hotel.
Distance: Approximately 160 km (99 miles)
Time: Approximately 5-6 hours by car

In the morning, you will drive for sightseeing around Padum. You will visit Zangla, Stongday monastery, and back to padum, after lunch you can visit Karsha Monastery and Sani monastery and drop off to hotel overnight stay at Padum.

After the wonderful breakfast, drive toward Purne, which is around 45 km from Padum, and you can visit Bardan monastery, which is between Padum and Purne.
Around 1 pm, you will reach Purne and visit Phuktar monastery, which is the most wonderful monastery in the Ladakh region.

Please Note:
You will be visiting Phuktal Monastery. Please be informed that the monastery is accessible only by foot from Purne, and it takes approximately 2 hours to reach the monastery. After spending some time at Phuktal, you will return to Purne via the same route, which takes around 1 to 2 hours.
Overnight stay will be at Purne.

The journey from Purne to Manali via Shinkula and the beautiful views of Gonboranjon, one of the most iconic and revered peaks in the Zanskar region. Towering in isolation with its pyramid-like shape and shinkula pass are panoramic views of snow-capped peaks, rugged terrain, and high-altitude-plans. The pass often has patches of snow, even in the late summer, and drops off to Hotel Manali.
It is around 240 km and approximately 8 to 9 hours.
